The Battleaxes is a stunning Free house pub nestled in Wraxall, North Somerset.
Constructed in 1838, The Battleaxes was originally built as a meeting place for the workers of the nearby Tyntesfield Estate.
Set in a characterful Grade II listed building along the main Bristol Road, The Battleaxes was lovingly, sympathetically, and imaginatively restored in September 2010. Exuding a playful eccentricity that is Cluedo country house meets traditional country pub.
Open all day, The Battleaxes Inn is at your service, whether for morning coffee, light lunch, 3-course dinner or just a glass of wine. Our six boutique guest rooms are finished to a very high quality and provide that little touch of luxury everybody deserves.
